Formed in the Autumn of 2018 in Liverpool, England by Singer/Songwriter Vinny Pereira and Session Guitarist Paul Anthony Holligan. With over 20 years in the music industry, Vinny has been in several bands and has supported the likes of Chris Helme (The Seahorses) and The Bluetones. Paul was a Session Guitarist for Pete Best and has supported such artists as Noel Gallagher and members of the Manchester band Inspiral Carpets.
In May 2019, The Banshees recorded their debut EP ‘Self Medicated‘ and by September they were back in the studio recording their mini album ‘Tell Me Everything’ with the very established Liverpool Studio ‘Motor Museum‘ with producer Al Groves and Loic Gaillard, which received great coverage from BBC Introducing, Louder Than War, Northern Exposure and King of Tinnitist ‘Canada’s Most-Followed Music Critic‘ Darryl Sterdan, played at Anfield (LFC), featured on BT TV Music, reviews everywhere and also recently worked on a project with Benumu and Jagermeister.
After the disruption of the Music Industry and life in general due to Covid, The Banshees started recording in-house and developed a style of their own as a 2 man team. Pushing forward, they produced and released “Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo” in October 2020 which gained over 12K views on YouTube alone. Followed up by “You’re Wrong” in November 2020. Then on January 13th 2021 they released yet another track called “Point of You” getting over 3k views in 4 days! The current release 28th April 2021 is called “Better Place” and has been as successful as the back catalogue.
From start to finish, The Banshees are truly independent and have a lot of new material coming soon!
